The first ever Blue Water Games - hosted in the North Atlantic Region
The North Atlantic Region hosted the first ever Blue Water Games on September 2, 2023 – welcoming colleagues from Greenland and Iceland in beautiful Nuuk, Greenland.
Globally, over 1,500 colleagues from 70 offices participated at 30 locations. It was a day dedicated to fun, togetherness and teamplay. As a highlight, all colleagues worldwide played 'The North Atlantic Quest' - an escape room in a box game. A great way to connect despite geographical distances and time zones.

Blue Water Türkiye champions hope with a donation of 250,000 DKK to the Hope Foundation for Children with Cancer
In September 2023, Blue Water Türkiye celebrated not only a victory in the first-ever annual Blue Water Games but also a triumph for compassion. As part of their win, the office had the honor of donating 250,000 DKK to a charity of their choice on behalf of the Blue Water Foundation. Their chosen beneficiary: The Hope Foundation for Children with Cancer / Kanserli Çocuklara Umut Vakfı (KAÇUV).
"We are proud to make this donation and help children in need just one year after we started our operations in Türkiye. It is incredibly rewarding to support their cause and work for a company that puts people first by making this donation possible. We want to thank KAÇUV for giving hope to children undergoing cancer treatment and their families," shares Alper Ture, Managing Director Blue Water Türkiye.

Hope Foundation for Children with Cancer ensures an optimal environment for treating children with cancer, caring for the entire family. Their Family Homes provide free accommodation and support services to financially disadvantaged children and their families traveling to Istanbul from outside the city for cancer treatment.
Anne Skov, chairman of the Blue Water Foundation, expresses her gratitude for Blue Water Türkiye's choice: "I am proud to give back to local communities where Blue Water is present."
Kübra Avtepe, Head of the Hope Foundation for Children with Cancer, is delighted with the donation: "On behalf of KACUV and our children, I want to thank Blue Water Türkiye and the Blue Water Foundation for this valuable and meaningful donation. With this significant donation, we will support children undergoing cancer treatment with gifts delivered to them on their special days on behalf of Blue Water. For 23 years, hope and happiness have been the basis of our work, and we maintain our work knowing that the happier we can make our children, the better they respond to treatment."

Working together to empower Greenland's future
"As a heartfelt thank you to our hosts in Nuuk for their exceptional support in organizing the first regional Blue Water Games, we proudly donated 100,000 Danish kroner to their cause: Grønlandske Børn - Kalaallit Meerartaat. I visited the charity when I was in Nuuk, and they do amazing work for children,” shares Anne Skov, Chairman of the Blue Water Foundation.
Grønlandske Børn's crucial mission is to ensure that Greenlandic children have a safe childhood, fostering belief in themselves as they grow up.

"The donation from the Blue Water Foundation helps ensure a safe and nurturing upbringing for Greenlandic children. The funds will be used for summer camps across the country, violence prevention initiatives, and providing children with the support they need during difficult conversations. This donation makes a tremendous difference to us – a heartfelt thank you for the recognition,” expresses Julie Lynge, Manager of Grønlandske Børn in Nuuk.
To witness the impact of the donation firsthand, here's a special video greeting from Julie Lynge.
Local Blue Water colleagues shared that being from Nuuk, Greenland, they recognize the significance of this donation and take pride in working for a company that actively contributes to making a meaningful difference through giving back.
