To mark the 50th anniversary of the Blue Water Manchester office, the Blue Water Foundation donated DKK 50,000 to Manchester Camerata, a charity using music to create positive social change across Greater Manchester.

Founded in 1972, Manchester Camerata works with children, young people, and vulnerable groups, using music to support wellbeing, learning, and inclusion. Their work includes long-term programmes for young people and thera-peutic initiatives for people living with dementia.

Richard Dunning, General Manager UK (Road) and head of the Manchester office, commented on the donation:
“Reaching 50 years is an important milestone for our office. We wanted to mark the anniversary by supporting a local organisation that makes a real difference. Manchester Camerata’s work with young people and families aligns closely with our values.”

The donation will support the setup of a 12-week pilot music café for neurodivergent young people in Greater Manchester.

Holly Passingham, Head of Funding Partnerships at Manchester Camerata, said:
“We are very grateful for this generous support from the Blue Water Foundation. The donation will help us continue our work using music to support young people and families across Greater Manchester.”
