Improving the quality of life for children

Alethea Zainab Williams, Corporate Fundraising Co-ordinator of Charlie House, Stewart Greig, and Donna Bain

In celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Aberdeen office, Stewart Greig, Office Manager, and Donna Bain, Business Development Manager from Blue Water Aberdeen donated DKK 25,000 to Charlie House, a charity focused on children with life-limiting conditions in the north-east of Scotland. This charity is particularly close to the heart of the Blue Water team, as it supports a colleague's family.

Since its foundation in 2011, Charlie House has been pivotal in providing:

  • Family Support Services: Extensive support for affected families.

  • Family Activities: Free, fun activities for families.
  • Advocacy and Information: Advocacy services to support families in various capacities.

Stewart Greig from Blue Water remarked on the donation, "It's a privilege to support Charlie House. Their efforts in building a purpose-built facility for these children are essential. This partnership is more than a donation; it's about giving back to our community."

In addition to the donation, Blue Water Aberdeen has committed to becoming a corporate partner of Charlie House in 2024, with plans to engage in volunteer work and fundraising. This collaboration aims to further support Charlie House's mission, reflecting a deep commitment to community and social responsibility.

Alethea Zainab Williams, Corporate Fundraising Coordinator at Charlie House, expresses her gratitude for the generous support and looks forward to collaborative efforts in raising awareness and funds for the cause.
